The edition includes the obituary of Mr Thomas Steward, who despite being “one of the strongest men in the district”, but died of an “internal complaint”.
There was also obituaries for John Joseph O’Neill and Mr Soloman Cooper.
There were also concerns about drought conditions in NSW – not a lot changes, hey? (but did mention Yass doesn’t know how lucky it is in terms of weather).
One article spoke about how droving was better performed in the “olden times” and a “pleasant afternoon” was spent in Galong helping the War Chest Appeal.
