However, it wasn't a walkover for the Boorowa team as after the five match play games on the day both teams finished on equal points.
Having tied his match Phil Johnston and his opponent played the 19th hole to determine the winning club.
Fortunately for the Boorowa team Phil won the hole giving Boorowa the trophy win.
Congratulations to golfers that played in any of the pennants tournament rounds as all contributed to the win.
Last Saturday Boorowa golfers played in a club trophy stroke competition.
Clearly winning the trophy with a net 60 was Greg Atkins who will surely attract the interest of the handicappers.
Runner up spot was filled by Phil Johnston followed by Roger Green, after a lengthy lay off, on net 67 as ball comp winner.
Phil also took home the nearest to the pin prize for his tee shot on the 4th hole.
Next Saturday and Sunday the men's championship is scheduled for play with golfers playing 27 holes each day. Golfers are asked to present at 9.30am for a 10am start.
