The Rovers didn’t have it all their own way leading by 16-6 at halftime before pulling away in the second stanza.
It wasn’t a pretty win but it keeps the Rovers in touch with the top three and has entrenched them firmly in the top five.
Boorowa has another tricky game this weekend against Gunning who always seem to lift against the Boorowa outfit. This match will be at Gunning commencing at 2pm on Saturday.
Meanwhile the Roverettes played out a thrilling 10 All draw against the Grizzlies who were very desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top five.
The draw keeps the Roverettes on track for a semi-final spot, currently being in fourth position. They too will play Gunning commencing at 12.50pm on Saturday at the Gunning Showground.
In youth league action, the boys had a spell last week last weekend with a bye but will be back in action on Saturday when the combined Boorowa/Harden team takes on Bungendore at Bungendore at approximately 11.30 am.
The Roverettes and Rovers would like to thank the supporters who made the trip to Canberra last Thursday night in very cool conditions.
Your support is greatly appreciated and should never be underestimated in helping our teams to victory. We hope to see you at Gunning.
