Three great games will take place at the Boorowa Show ground with the Youth League commencing at noon when Boorowa/Harden take on Tuggeranong.
This will be followed by the Boorowa Roverettes against The Binalong Jersey girls.
The main fixture of the afternoon will see the Boorowa Rovers taking on the Binalong Brahmans at 2.30pm.
After the week off for the general bye, all three local teams are now looking forward to pushing their claims for a semi final berth.
The Youth league team have proved they are more than capable of matching it with the best with a narrow loss to Crookwell and a draw with Yass in recent week.
The Roverettes have had an up and down season so far but are capable of upsetting the more fancied teams on their day.
The George Tooke Shield is shaping up as a race in four with Crookwell, Harden, North Canberra and Boorowa appearing to be a step ahead of the lower ranked teams.
Boorowa has had a tough run in the last four rounds and are coming of a heavy defeat in their last start against Crookwell.
They face a Binalong side who have had a disappointing season so far and are desperate to secure two points and keep their flickering finals hoped alive.
It’s a danger game for Boorowa as these local derby’s see teams lift a gear and this Saturday will be no exception.
This Saturday is also the Club’s annual Sponsors’ Day where we recognise the outstanding contributions made to the club by our sponsors both large and small.
So if you are a sponsor please get to the day and take part in our designated sponsors tent as we say thank you for your continued support. Without you, rugby league in Boorowa would not exist.See you there.
