It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to reflect on the time my family and I have spent being a part of the beautiful Boorowa community.

Following seven years that has passed in the blink of an eye, but at the same time feels like a lifetime, we have decided to move to Tathra.
During our time in Boorowa we have been exposed to a sense of community that cannot be rivalled anywhere, to the point where my youngest son Harry has on occasions referred to the people of Boorowa being his family.
Although I have never publicly expressed it that way, I have also felt it myself.
During a period of illness that I experienced last year, the support and caring that came from the community is something that I will be forever grateful for.
It is the willingness of everyone in the community to lend a hand or rally together when needed that makes Boorowa such a special place and I have experienced it first hand on more than one occasion.
Although I am disappointed not to be staying in the community, whilst here I have been afforded the opportunity for personal development and growth that I would not have been able to experience anywhere else. Before leaving Boorowa, it would be highly remiss of me not to thank the former Boorowa Councillors and in particular Wendy Tuckerman as Mayor and subsequently as the Administrator of Hilltops for the support and faith they showed in me.
I would like to thank the whole community for welcoming my family and I with open arms and supporting us during our time in Boorowa. We will forever hold the fondest of memories of our time here and are grateful for the lifelong friendships we have developed!
Thank you!
