‘Bringing Character to Life with Emotions’ is a drama workshop for children aged 5–15 years of age, to be held in Binalong on April 20, 2018.
The workshop will run 9am–3pm at the Binalong Mechanics Institute (Binalong Hall).
Numbers are limited to 20, so be quick. First in best dressed.
Children will learn how to strengthen their understanding of a character’s emotions.
The techniques they learn can be extended to real-life emotional connections, to help them build empathy and understanding.
Exercises include building confidence, identifying and understanding emotions, characterisation, techniques such as voice projection, speaking with confidence, blocking scenes and presentation skills.
Under the expert eye of Janno Scanes and Robyn Sykes, children can learn tips and tricks about performance.
The day culminates in a performance by the children on stage at the Binalong Hall.
Each item is short, but every child gets a chance to shine.
A DVD will capture the performance for posterity. Come and see our future stars!
