The playground has begun a wonderful transformation made possible with the assistance of the Community Building Partnerships Grant received in 2016 and fundraising efforts of the parents and friends at the BEE Centre.
The landscaping is due for completion by the end of March and already the children are enjoying exploring and interacting with the new dry creek bed, extra-large sandpit with lovely, soft beach sand, teepee and yarning circle, and various paths and walkways.
Solar panels have recently been installed to increase sustainability and reduce the electricity cost to the Centre!
The Centre staff are able to monitor their daily electricity usage and solar production and looks forward to sharing and discussing this more with the older children in the Centre.
The children thoroughly enjoyed spending the week creating their ‘Where is the Green Sheep?’ Show display and were thrilled to be awarded the Best School Display for 2018.
The blue sash has been proudly displayed in the front foyer.
The BEE Centre currently operates a Long Day Care service from 8am-6pm, a Preschool Service from 8.30am-4pm and After School Care from 3.15-6pm.
