Dog owners have a responsibility to ensure the wellbeing of their animals and, very importantly, the wellbeing of family, friends and neighbours.
A person in charge of a dog(s) must take all reasonable precautions to prevent your dog escaping from your property.
Failure to comply can result in a fine of $880 or $5500 for a restricted, dangerous or menacing dog.
At any time you take your dog off the property, it should be on a leash held by a person who can control that dog.
We have our pets to be part of a family and provide us with love, comfort and enjoyment.
When buying a puppy, research thoroughly as regards temperament, makeup and full grown size.
Four simple things to teach your puppy from day one, SIT, STAY, COME and SOCIALISATION with both humans and other dogs.
Responsible ownership – happy pets, happy people.
Four families would love to have that now.

A man wrote a letter to a small hotel in a town he planned to visit.
He wrote, “I would very much like to bring my dog with me.
He is well groomed and very well behaved.
Would you be willing to permit me to keep him in my room at night?”
An immediate reply came from the hotel owner who wrote, “Sir, I’ve been operating this hotel for many years.
In all that time I’ve never had a dog steal towels, bedclothes, silverware or pictures off the walls. I’ve never had to evict a dog in the middle of the night for being drunk and disorderly and I’ve never had a dog run out on a hotel bill.
Yes indeed, your dog is welcome at my hotel, AND, if your dog will vouch for you, you’re welcome to stay here too.”

I suppose you could say, “Calling all gardeners.”
It’s not quite like that, but it is planned to establish a Community Garden, and the best way to do that is get gardeners involved.
A special AGM of the Boorowa Community Garden Committee will be held on Tuesday March 27, 4.00pm, in the kitchen of the Boorowa Men’s Den in the Showground precinct.
This committee is a S355 Committee of Council.
Back to our opening paragraph.
You, man, woman or child, may not feel at the moment the need for a Community Garden, not even interested, but if you enjoy gardening, keep an open mind, get along to the AGM on the 27th and find out what it really is all about.
You could be part of transforming the bare space adjacent to the Men’s Den into an area of beauty, tranquility and vitality.

With another successful International Women’s Day passed where inspirational women delivered their inspirational messages on a day organized by an inspirational team, I got to thinking who have been the most inspirational women of all time?
I put this question to friends over coffee knowing I had already Googled a list of 120 great women.
Our coffee discussion narrowed the list down to a top five: Queen Elizabeth II, Florence Nightingale, Cleopatra, Marie Curie and Indira Gandhi.
Five highly commendable considerations until a friend said:“Undoubtedly, the most influential woman I know … my mother.”
Who can argue with that?
