John Richens and Tony Porter are on a mission to complete a number of Murringo Hall Memorial Boards by finding names and photos of soldiers from the area who fought in WWI and WWII.
The pair hosted the presentation in the hopes that people would have information about their relatives.
“This project is for Murringo… this project is for the relatives, this is not about local politics, it’s about getting the boards right once and for all,” Tony said.
“The plan is to leave the existing boards in Murringo in place, the new boards will have the names and photos.
Tony praised the dedication and commitment John has shown to the project and thanked Hilltops Council and local RSL sub-Branches for their support.
“John has collected all of this information and he’s done an absolutely sterling job… we are grateful for the support on a project that should have been completed years ago.”
