Boorowa Show Society Secretary Narelle Nixon said one of the highlights this year will be the chance to have a photo op with some creepy crawlies.
“Come along and have your photo taken with some unusual insects,” she said.
“It’s a hands-on display.”
The kids are sure to enjoy free face painting, the Magic Jester and the chance to get up close and personal with some of the cutest animals around with Old Kentucky Farm’s petting paddock.
Of course there will be plenty of games and rides down the sideshow alley and like every year, the kids can test their skills and ride the mechanical bull.
All of your favourite pavilion categories will be on display, including art, handicrafts, cooking and photography.
Entries into pavilion sections will close on February 28 at 5pm unless otherwise specified.
The very best livestock will also be on display, with sheep, stud cattle, poultry, ducks and caged birds all ready to be judged in the different competitions.
“The poultry section has come up in leaps and bounds,” Mrs Nixon said.
“The prize pool has increased significantly.”
Mrs Nixon says one thing for punters to look out for is the new cavies display, which will be brought to the Show by the Cavy Club in Young.
“It will be situated in the poultry pavilion,” she said.
“This year we have a display of these very popular animals and looking to have a Championship Cavy Show in the future.”
With plenty to see and do, take the family out and come along to the Boorowa Show on March 2 and 3.
