The weather prediction did not look good, but the sun came out and St. Joseph’s School was able to hold its annual Swimming Carnival at the Boorowa Pool last Friday, February 2.

The day started with a traditional sing off before the students hit the water for their races.
It didn’t matter whether you swam for Mckay or McCauley, there was cheering for all as each competitor swam their hearts out and tried their best.
Congratulations to Noah Coble who broke Michael Hinds Junior Individual Medley record from 2007 - Noah swam the Medley in a time of 4:08.44.
Congratulations to McCauley House on winning the Total Points Tally and congratulations to the following students who were the Division Champions for 2018.

St. Joseph’s students would like to thank their parent and friends who were able to attend and assist with the Carnival, the school’s staff for all their hard work at the Carnival, Mrs Harton for the administration of the Carnival, Mr Harton for taking on the role of starter and stroke judge, and the wonderful lifeguards and pool manager.
A squad of 20 students will now represent St. Joseph’s Boorowa at the Western Region Catholic School’s Zone Swimming Carnival to be held on Friday, February 16 at Lake Cargelligo.
