Attendees will learn about Wildcare and how to rescue, handle, transport and hold native animals safely.
An overview of common wildlife will be given, including mammals - micro bats, flying foxes, possum, koala, wallaby, kangaroo; reptiles – lizards and snakes (requires specialist training); turtles; wombat; birds; and monotremes - echidna.
The course will be held at the Senior Citizens Centre, 30 Rossi St, Yass on Saturday, February 17 2018, between 9.30am and 4pm.
Register from 9am.
The cost is Wildcare members $20; non members $25.
BYO lunch or buy in the main street (2 min walk).
Morning/afternoon teas provided.
