Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor said Mobile Service Centres reinforced the Coalition’s commitment to deliver the best service possible to all Australians, regardless of where they lived.
“This is a great opportunity for our community to come down and meet face-to-face with the specialist staff. You don’t need an appointment, and it’s a free service,” he said.
“Mobile Service Centres provide personalised access to government services, delivering Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support services to rural and regional Australians.
“Staff on board can help with a range of services, including lodging Centrelink claims, Medicare registrations, providing access to online services, and offering free hearing health checks.
“A Social Worker will be available on board for the entire trip to provide residents with information, support, and short term counselling if they’re going through a difficult time.”
