Mick Warsow's mixed golf trophy day, last Saturday, December 9, attracted a large field of ladies and men to compete for the array of prizes on offer.
Kate Crisp won the ladies event with Polly Farrell runner up and Marie Martin filling third spot. A fine tee shot on the fourth hole handed Felicity Corcoran the nearest to the pin trophy for the ladies.
Richard Hall won the men's stroke competition with a score of net 62 on a count back from Danny Cassells while the next three places were filled by Robert Styles, Gary Shepperd and Kelvin Gorham.
Danny Cassells' fabulous tee shot on the long par three 8th hole finished 90 centimetres from the cup which not only gave him the nearest to the pin trophy but the bird's nest, sponsored by Greg Atkins' Blue Metal Motel, for being within a metre of the flag on this hole.
Next Saturday, December 16, golfers will play in the green keepers revenge event followed by the Christmas party at 6.30pm.
