BCLG has been fortunate to engage Daniel Florance, Senior Research Officer for the Conservation & Landscape Ecology Group, Fenner School of Environment and Society, ANU, as the guest speaker for this year’s AGM.
Daniel will talk to BCLG about the importance of reptiles on farms, including ecosystem services, pest and disease control and being prey for native birds, mammals and insects. Further to this, the Importance of Farms to Reptiles; as 60% of Australian land is privately owned and used for production agriculture, it is important habitat for reptiles.
