General Manager Anthony McMahon said following the recent opening of the Young Aquatic Centre for the season, Council staff have been busy carrying out preparation work on the region’s other aquatic facilities over the past few weeks.
“Ensuring the facilities are safe, tidy and ready for summer has been a priority for crews of late; this summer promises to be a hot one, so I expect the pool facilities across the Hilltops will be a popular spot to escape the heat and cool down,” Mr McMahon said.
“Harden and Boorowa pools are scheduled to open this coming Saturday, November 4, while Jugiong Pool will open a week later on Saturday 11 November.
“For those who like to get a swim in first thing, the pools in Young, Harden and Boorowa all have early opening hours so users have plenty of flexibility when it comes to accessing the facilities,” he said.
The cost for children across all four centres is $2.50, with adults $4.50. Family and season tickets are also available.
Boorowa Memorial Swimming Pool will be open from 5:30am till 7:30am on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays for the early risers and from 11am till 7pm daily.
Pensioner tickets will be $2.50, family tickets will be $12.50 and for non-swimming parents or guardians $1.
