For Year 12 students across the state, it was Standard English and Advanced English Paper 1, followed by Aural skills and Musicology for Music 1 and 2 students on Monday.
School Administration staff member Chris Coble said she had the chance to speak to students after the first exam on Monday and believed they were happy with the outcome.
“When they returned from their first exam, they said they thought they had did the best they could,” she said.
“Every question they had been prepared for in their classes.
“Overall they were happy enough with the paper.”
Students sat Standard English Paper 2 and Advanced English Paper 2, with Primary Industries (VET) and Japanese Beginners on Tuesday.
Aboriginal Studies and Agriculture exams were on Wednesday followed by Personal Development, Health and Physical Education on Thursday.
Modern History and Business Services (VET) round out the week on Friday, with language exams running throughout the week.
Ms Coble said students were “very philosophical” in their approach to the exams.
“They were as prepared as they could be,” she said.
“They’ve been doing study sessions in the holidays, so it shows their commitment and the teachers’ commitment.”
She said students have shown a determination throughout the school year.
“You get to know the kids really well, it’s not a huge Year 12, they have bonded very strongly,” she said.
“They interact well with the rest of the school, they are a very tight group.
“It’s just very special with the small year group.”
She said a number of students have already decided what they will be pursuing after school.
“Some have applied for early entry, some have their career paths clearly worked out and some have applied for apprenticeships in the construction industry.”
Good luck Year 12!
