In A grade the Rec Gold won the crown 4-0 against the Ram Z in a convincing win. This match was expected to be a close tussle but the Gold closed the game out after just two singles matches.
The Rec Gold winning combination of Rod Neeson, Steve Makings, Russell George and Phil Johnston were on fire with the Ram Z unable to get any sought of momentum going. Russell George and Rod Neeson hit two tons each.
In the B Grade it was a very different story as the Top Pub Shamrocks won a cliff hanger against the Top Pub Leprechauns 4-3. The Top Pub Shamrocks team of Mike Ward, Darrell Hanns, Deb Cotter and Grant Cotter took home the title after winning the final team’s event.
The match was close all the way through with the doubles at one each before the Shamrocks pulled ahead with wins to Darrell Hanns and Deb Cotter.
The Leprechauns levelled up with wins to David Apps and Trevor Spinx before the Shamrocks closed it out.
In C Grade, it was the Naughty Courty who are the 2017 Premiers defeating the Top Pub Jameson’s by 4-3 with the winning team of Richard Roberts, Matt Batt, Tim Poplin and Josh Grey wrapping up the win by 4-2 before the Jameson’s pulled one back winning the team’s event. Josh Grey had the game high score of 115.
Congratulations to all three Premiership teams and well done to the challengers who will not doubt be spurred onto greater success next season.
