Thanks must go to Boorowa Recreation Club for hosting the event.
Greg Atkins was the winner with net 64 closely followed by Phil Johnston with net 65.
Nearest to the pin prizes were available for all par three holes. Three golfers succeeded in this and they were Simon Pye on the 7th, Richard Hall on the 8th and Danny Cassells on the 17th.
Some rather interesting prizes were awarded on the day and are as follows.
Robert Dunwoodie won the most puts prize with 40 puts.
Richard Manning, with net 79, took out last place trophy.
Russell George was awarded the Biggest Dummy Spit certificate. After an inauspicious start to his round things didn't improve for Russell and thanks to the unreliability of the motor car, Russell was conveniently called to an NRMA roadside service.
Sixteen golfers participated in this inaugural event celebrating Boorowa's Woolfest and by all accounts a wonderful day was enjoyed by all participants.
