Boorowa is expecting to have two senior sides again this year to play in the Yass District competition.
Boorowa delegates have already attended the Yass AGM where the possibility of Yass first grade amalgamating with Goulburn.
This is to be determined in the coming days.
Boorowa will be unlikely to field a first grade side and should not be affected by this change.
Boorowa will hold its AGM followed by a general meeting next Wednesday, September 20 at 7pm at the Courthouse Hotel.
It is expected that the competition will commence on the third Saturday of October but this will be determined shortly by the Yass delegates meeting.
Training for the local teams will commence shortly so watch this space for further details.
Also to be discussed at the senior meeting will be the operation of Milo Cricket in Boorowa.
A delegate from the juniors will be attending the meeting to seek interest from senior players and supporters in ensuring Milo cricket in Boorowa continues.
This is a very important first step in the careers of young Cricketers and is in need of urgent support.
Among major developments in the near future will be the laying of a fresh synthetic wicket on the recreation ground, which will be a big boost for all levels of cricket in the town.
It’s going to be another huge year for Boorowa cricket and attendance of both players and supporters at next Wednesday’s meeting is critical for the club to continue to prosper.
