Two Boorowa women are one step closer to achieving their dreams of helping out people living in rural and remote communities. Eliza Coles and Kimberly Gilbert have received a 2017 Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) Foundation Rural Scholarship to assist with their university studies.

Eliza is a third year student studying her Bachelor of Psychological Science at the University of New England who is passionate about helping people affected by mental illness. Eliza’s long-term goal is to establish a travelling clinic, creating access for rural communities struggling with the issue of mental health.
Kimberley is currently in her third year of a Bachelor of Education (Primary & Early Childhood) at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga. Kimberley has been dedicated to a career in teaching and caring for children from a young age and shares her passion within her local Aboriginal community.
