But in true Bowling tradition a group of eight well rugged up intrepid bowlers played two games pairs over 10 ends.
Partners were selected and despite the ever present threat of rain or worse the afternoon was quite pleasant.
Rebecca was in the Club to dispense small quantities of antifreeze to those that needed it.
Winners of the first round were Daryl Murphy and partner Brett Stanford on one rink and Jeff Sumerfield with Dick Mattress on the other.
In the second round Daryl and Brett came out on top to win the trophy made from ice!
