Boorowa led early on in the game before the more experienced Bungendore side clicked into gear to record a comfortable win.
Boorowa began well after receiving the kickoff with a solid opening set of six.
They defended well in the first eight minutes and following a good kick return by Molly Stephens, Jess Hoare crossed for a try and give the locals a 4-0 lead.
It wasn’t too long before Bungendore replied after 12 minutes to make it 4-4.
Bungedore posted their second try with a 75 metre run and when they scored their third after 21 minutes the score had blown out to 14-4 which remained the score at halftime.
Needing to be first to score after the break, the Roverettes did just that through speedster Amanda Noakes who crossed just two minutes into the second half.
Amanda converted her own try and at 14-10 it was anyone’s ball game.
Bungendore then began to assert their authority and after sustained pressure, they crossed 10 minutes into the half and take the score to 20-10.
They scored back to back tries and blew the margin out to 14 points in the blink of an eye at 24-10. Boorowa put pressure on the Bungendore line midway through the held but were unable to crack the defence.
An intercept by Bungendore put the result beyond doubt at 30-10 whilst the final try came with just two minutes left to make it 36-10.
As always the girls all played hard and Coach Brendon Shean has done a tremendous job with this team.
Amanda Noakes picked up the 3 points from the weekend, Jess Hoare had a sensational game to pick up two points and Chloe Geach, fresh from a relaxing break picked up the one point.
Tammie Pye picked up a well deserved players’ player award.
In other results on the weekend, Boomanulla 36 beat North Canberra 0 whilst UC Grizzlies 4 beat Binalong Jersey Girls 0.
The ladder looks this way with Bungendore 28, Harden 24, Boomanulla 24, Crookwell 22, Boorowa 18, Gunning 14, Binalong 12, North Canberra 8, UC Grizzlies 8 and ADFA 8
This week the girls take on ADFA who although being at the bottom of the ladder, are sure to be a thorn in opposing sides over the last three weeks.
The Roverettes can all but seal fifth spot with a win and will be looking for a confident boost going into the big end of season matches.
The league tag will kick off at 1.30pm so get up to the ground early and support the mighty Roverettes.
