The Boorowa ExServices Bowls club major pairs competition played over the weekend was won by father and son pairing of Des and Chris Grimson.

They have returned to the winners podium after being dethroned last year. They defeated the pairing of Gerard Dunn and John Dymock 22-17 in the final.
Results of the earlier rounds played on Saturday were Col Good and Glen Klose defeated Peter Watts and Patrick Beadman 27-18, the Grimson pairing defeated Daryl Murphy and John Crowe 20-12 Nev Thurtell and Tony Beadman defeated Brett Stanford and Bill Luxford 22-15.
On Sunday Des and Chris won over Neville and Tony 29-20 and Gerard Dunn and John Dymock in a very tight match which went to a sudden death after 21 ends was locked up at 20 all.
In the sudden death end John and Gerard scored 2 shots to win the contest. In the final between Des and Chris and John and Gerard scores were even untill the 10 end when Des and Chris opened up a 6 shot lead and despite a fightback late in the match Des and Chis won the contest 22-17.
Congratulations to them and good luck in the district competition.
The pairing of John Dymock and Gerard Dunn came about by accident because Gerards normal partner Mick Tuckerman was thrown off his Japanese Quarterhorse on friday mustering Cattle.
Mick has sustained severe damage to his right shoulder we all hope it doesnt hurt too much Mick!!
At last Thursdays social bowls John Crowe and Jo Snelling won the day on 27 points closely followed by Alan Morrisey on 25.
Jo is playing very consistent bowls and she keeps the ladies flag flying each week. Social bowls are on again Thursday.
