The grant is for the integration of the library IT system, including new barcoding, at the regional libraries of Young, Harden and Boorowa.
“It is fantastic news that this funding will support new measures at the local Hilltops libraries to improve their capacity to keep track of, and also to expand, their various collections,” Ms Hodgkinson said.
“They are a great community facility and it is important our public libraries continue to receive appropriate support to remain viable into the future.”
Ms Goward said the grant is part of $4 million worth of funding for 31 public library projects across NSW.
“As a proud supporter of public libraries, I am thrilled to be able to support this project to develop and improve services for the Hilltop community,” Ms Goward said.
