Farnham will be joined by Daryl Braithwaite, James Reyne, Shannon Noll and Taxiride for the concert that will be held at Lazy River Estate on Saturday, March 4.
Tour promoter Duane McDonald announced the line-up on Tuesday night and said music fans could expect a sensational show.
“We are proud of the Evolution of the Red Hot Summer Tour to feature some of the biggest names in the business, and to have the opportunity to take them to regional areas of Australia,” Mr McDonald said.
“The 2017 shows will rock the socks off music fans.”
John Farnham first appeared on the scene in 1967 and is one of Australia’s leading performers while former Australian Crawl frontman Reyne and Braithwaite, who led Sherbet, have also had long and successful careers.
Shannon Noll rose to fame through Australian Idol and has established himself as a strong performer in his own right, while Taxiride became a household name in the early-2000s and have recently reformed.
Taxiride singer-songwriter Jason Singh said he and the band were ecstatic to be part of a festival like the Red Hot Summer Tour.
Singh said he had been asking to be part of the tour for years and, with Taxiride reforming after almost a decade apart, his wish was granted.
“There’s Australian music royalty that will be on the stage and I will get to see it up close. To have guys like John Farnham, Daryl Braithwaite and James Reyne coming out to regional areas is fantastic,” he said.
“At one stage you would have had to go into the inner city to see performers like these guys, now they are coming out to people and the concept has been embraced.
“Who wouldn’t want to play at beautiful winery settings to really appreciative crowds?”
The Red Hot Summer Tour made its first stop in 2016, and with artists including Jimmy Barnes, it was attended by more than 4000 people. That success guaranteed a return in 2017.
Tickets for the Dubbo leg of the Red Hot Summer Tour go on sale on Monday at 9am through Ticketmaster.
