YOUNG: Bears - The claws are out, 66-12 victory: Saturday’s clash between the Burrangong Bears and the Condobolin Rams was a certain sign the local boys have what it takes to be a massive threat throughout the 2014 Woodbridge Cup competition. From the time the whistle blew Young had the upper hand and continued to dominate play throughout the entire 60 minutes, showing from the get-go they were in it for the win.

YOUNG: Rodeo - Wait over: The wait to stage rodeo events locally – including potential national titles – has finally come to an end for the Young Pro Rodeo Club. Now a new journey can begin for the club following Young Shire Council’s approval of a development application to build a new multi-million dollar arena suitable for all equine sports on 22 acres at Toompang Racecourse.
YOUNG: Sami - Sami hits the road on east coast tour: Now that she’s graduated from high school and entered adulthood, Young’s Sami Cooke is off on an Australian tour. It’s the 18-year-old’s first album tour and so far she’s spent two months in Victoria performing three to four shows a week in areas as far south as Port Fairy.
YOUNG: YDAC - Town’s cinema comes under the spotlight: No stone was left unturned on Monday night as the Young District Arts Council (YDAC) gathered for perhaps their most comprehensive annual general meeting in recent memory. Their AGM, held at the Southern Cross Hall, couldn’t have come at a better time following council’s decision to investigate the management structure and control of the facility just two weeks ago.
