Local thoroughbred owner and breeder Keith Carmody celebrated one of his biggest wins last Saturday afternoon when his four-year-old Bon Hoffa gelding scored an impressive win in the opening race at the highly promoted "The Everest" meeting.

Don’t Give A Damn started from the wide gate 17 in the 1400 metre $100,000 Highway Consolation and was able to cross and lead under the guidance of top jockey Keiran McEvoy.

Don't Give A Damn collected $53,375 for his delighted owner and rewarded his Goulburn trainer Danny Williams for the patience and confidence.

The win was one of the feature races on the day with the winning jockey going on to take out the feature "Everest" on Redzel later in the afternoon.
