The President then presented her report for the past year, followed by that of Zone Representative Noeleen Hazell, who concluded by showing a short DVD entitled ‘The Year in Review’.

In conclusion, I would like to thank the Boorowa and district community for the ongoing support which Red Cross receives in this area and hope, therefore, that you will show that support this Sunday, October 22 by attending our Annual Golf, Bowls & Cards Day at the Boorowa Recreation Club.
Just a reminder in case interested parties have not spotted the posters around town.
For golfing fanatics, hit off is from 9.30–10am — a three person Ambrose over 18 holes.
For bowling devotees, names are to be in by 10am for a 10.30am start — triples 2 x 12 ends.
And for those addicted to card-playing, cards will be cut from 10.30am.
The cost for adults is $25 which includes green fees, morning tea, BBQ lunch and afternoon tea. Lunch and afternoon tea only is $20.
So roll up all you sporting enthusiasts and enjoy a great day out whilst supporting the invaluable work of Australian Red Cross.
Speaking of which, if anyone out there is interested in joining such a worthwhile organisation as Red Cross, please contact the Secretary care of Rye Park Post Office.
Joan Birnie
