Hilltops Council Mayor Brian Ingram has announced that applications are now open for groups seeking Council sponsorship to help support events or activities in the Hilltops Region.
Mayor Ingram said there are three different sponsorship packages available, offering assistance of up to $5,000.
“Just like the former Local Government Areas have done in the past, Hilltops Council is committed to providing sponsorship assistance to groups in the area to support and grow local events and activities,” Mayor Ingram said.
“This not only assists the groups involved, it also helps ensure we maximise the economic and social benefits of such events in a way that advantages the wider community.
“Sponsorship applications are available for not-for-profit groups, organisations or individuals who are looking to organise an event or activity in the Hilltops Region, so if you have a great idea that would benefit the local community and perhaps need some help to make it a success, the Hilltops Council sponsorship program may be able to assist.”
Applicants need to meet certain criteria for each proposed project.
Mayor Ingram said all the relevant application forms, guidelines and information are available on Council’s website at www.hilltops.nsw.gov.au
Those wishing to apply should lodge their applications with Hilltops Council no later than 12 noon on Thursday, November 2, 2017.

Sponsorship for events/activities held within the Hilltops Council will be provided within the following categories:
- Region wide event/activities: funding to a maximum of $5,000;
- Local specific town or village based general community event/activities: funding to a maximum of $2,500; and
- Sporting events/activities of state or national significance: funding to a maximum of $2,500.
