Two of the injured were required to be airlifted to Canberra Hospital, in serious but stable conditions.
With the injuries exhausting the medical services in the district, organisers abandoned the event after consultation with SZRA, Police and Ambulance.
On their Facebook page, the organisers wrote: “The Boorowa Rodeo was full of excitement on Saturday night… Although it was a hard decision, the organisers decided it was the right decision to abandon the event with only four events remaining”.
The three people injured were identified as riders Jayden Blacker (broken wrist), Cody Hotston (fluid) and Nigel Curtis, who was awaiting further tests on a suspected fractured leg.
“We hope that all cowboys have a speedy recovery,” they wrote.
