Their first stop was the Canberra Theatre where they saw the performance “Prehistoric Aquarium”.
That was an incredible experience which saw huge prehistoric puppets interact with the audience and share the world of the ancient oceans.
After a quick morning tea the students then visited the Dinosaur Museum and learnt all about the different types of dinosaurs and their fossils.
They also each got to create their own replicas of fossils!
It was a lot of fun and very interesting.
After lunch they went to their final destination – the Reptile Zoo!
The students had a “hands on” time with many living reptiles and amphibians including snakes, turtles, frogs and a variety of lizards, an absolute highlight of the day for one and all.
Overall it was an amazing day out.
