In the league tag Bungendore Tigerettes took the crown over Harden by 28-16 in a game which was much closer than expected. Bungendore had dominated their opposition all year but Harden made the Tigerettes work hard for the win and the title.
In the Youth league, Harden got the day off to the perfect start beating the North Canberra Bears by 36-0. It was a dominant display by the young guns with some budding super stars on show.
It’s been an amazing year for the George Tooke Shield and associated competitions with local teams Crookwell, Harden, Boorowa and Binalong all playing in the end of season games and generating plenty of local support.
The Rovers and Roverettes will be holding their presentation night this Saturday, September 16 at 6.30pm at the Ex-Services Club. It promises to be a great evening with a light meal and after presentation entertainment supplied.
