Workshop participants will learn how small changes in farm management can make substantial improvements to soil health and lead to better productivity on the farm over-all.
The workshops will be presented by David Hardwick, an inspiring independent agro-ecologist with 20 years experience who brings back the basics in a very easy to understand manner.
He’s practical, hands-on and knows exactly what he’s talking about.
Farmers are constantly under pressure to apply more fertiliser, chemical or treatments to improve productivity, David explains the processes that occur naturally and how we are often slowing these processes down and not making the most of them.
Workshops will be held at Rye Park on Tuesday, September 19 as well as West Wyalong and Mossgiel (near Ivanhoe) in September.
Our August workshops focused on soil fundamentals and key steps to effective management, while our September workshops will build on this and develop skills needed to make informed management decisions.
All workshops are hosted by LachLandcare Inc. and you can find out more by registering your interest at lachlandcare.eventbrite.com.au or see www.lachlandcare.org.au.
