Mr Fox was given a tour of the school by principal Brendan Maynard and Dermott McGrath. He said he found St Joseph’s to be a “really impressive” school.
“There's great learning going on in the classrooms and it’s a welcoming community and I know that the students and parents are really proud of the school,” Mr Fox said.
Mr Maynard said he hoped the visit would showcase the learning and activities taking place at the school and show the need for further transformation of the school’s facilities.
“Our students are trialing, engaging in technology and activities that are really on the forefront of where education is and where education is going,” he said.
“Part of our future vision is to transform out school facilities so we can meet the needs of the curriculum and allow our children to engage in even greater learning experience. Not only for the children here today but well into the future.”
