This Saturday is shaping up as one of the biggest days in local rugby league for many a year with old rivals Harden and Boorowa going head to head in not one but two big clashes.
Both the Rovers and the Roverettes will take on Harden with all four sides desperate to keep winning and push their claims of a semi final spot.
In the George Tooke Shield, both Boorowa and Harden seem to be on track for a semi final spot but this game could be critical as to where the two teams will finish on the ladder.
The Rovers have not lost since round two and currently sit in second spot just ahead of Harden in third position.
This game may well decide a home ground advantage in the big games at the end of the year.
More importantly, in recent seasons Harden have dominated the Rovers but Saturday's contest will be a very tight encounter.
Home ground advantage and a very vocal ground may just see the locals get the chocolates.
In the league tag, Boorowa face a massive task against Harden who has lost only once this season.
However the girls realise a win here would see them in a great position to consolidate fifth spot so there is plenty to play for.
Results from last weekend’s George Tooke Shield saw Bungendore 44 beat UC Grizzlies 30, Binalong 46 beat ADFA 10, Crookwell 38 beat Boomanulla 22 and North Canberra 54 beat Gunning 10.
In the league tag, Bungendore 74 beat UC Grizzlies 0, Binalong 22 beat ADFA 4, Boomanulla 22 beat Crookwell 6, Gunning 14 beat North Canberra 6.
Other matches this weekend will see Gunning host Binalong and Bungendore host Boomanulla.
We are heading to the business end of the season, so with four home games in the next six weeks why not get up to the Showground and support your teams.
See you Saturday.
