Under 13s LT
Round 10 saw our under 13s league tag girls play against our ladder leaders, Cootamundra Bulldogs.
What a game it was. The Bushhawks were kept on their toes the whole game with great defending and team sportsmanship.
The first half was a nail biter in the last minute as Clare Flick had the runaway try, dumping the ball under the posts.
The conversion was narrowly missed by Hunter Ings, who had a cracker of a game stalking the opposition every chance she could. The half time break saw our girls come back with gusto.
Steph Piper, Ellie McMahon, Charlotte Edwards and Jorja O’Brien were all showing great defence and tagging, with Lily Cassells securing things on the wing.
Katy Edwards was ducking and weaving throughout the game as well. Abbey Grant passing onto Katie O’Connor who scored our second try and Marnie Halls secured the conversion point.
Coralie Vasquez had a great run in the second half with being tagged before the try line.
Maddy Chard, Emma Collins and Ellie Ward all showed great defence having to be on the ball the whole game to restrict our opponents from getting to the try line.
Imogen Pye was the chasing Queen also adding to the try tally! Unfortunately we were defeated, the fulltime score was 24-14.
The team’s fitness and spirit is alive and well, Bushhawks you made the Coota bulldogs work very, very hard for their win! See you in Temora for Round 11.
