Entries are in, accommodation is booked and the country NSW gymnastics community is packing their bags in preparation for the 2017 Country Championships, to be held at The Hunter Sports Centre for the second consecutive year.
Over five days of competition, participants and their families will head to the Hunter for the annual gymnastics event, held from July 6 to July 10.
The 2017 Country Championships will see gymnasts compete across six gymsports – Acrobatic, Men’s Artistic, Rhythmic, Team Gym, Trampoline and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics.
Gymnastics NSW CEO, Aaron Bloomfield anticipates another successful event that celebrates the diversity and talent that we have within our rural communities.
“Once again the Lake Macquarie Council will play host to the Gymnastics Community in their premier facility, The Hunter Sports Centre,” he said.
“Multi-gymsport events such as this once showcase the diversity of gymnastics and demonstrates that gymnastics truly is a sport for everybody.”
