This year National Youth Week will run from March 31 to April 9 with events planned by Council and the Youth Council.
The line-up of events covers the whole region with events in Boorowa, Harden and Young.
The week kicks off in Young with a movie night at the Southern Cross Cinema featuring Kong Skull Island on the evening of Thursday, March 30.
Tickets are being sold for $10 at Hilltops Council Young Office, (02) 6380 1200.
Each ticket includes movie, pizza and a drink.
A Skateboarding Workshop will be run at the Harden Skate Park on Saturday, April 8 from 10am by the Canberra Skateboarding Association.
The day will begin with a skate progression session from 10am-12pm, followed by a demonstration from the Trilogy skateboard team combined with a best trick jam from 12pm -1pm at the Harden Skate Park.
Bookings are essential as there are limited spaces.
Please contact Hilltops Council Harden Office on (02) 6386 0100 for bookings.
For the second year, Boorowa’s version of the trademark event, the Colour Run, now known as the Boorowa Superb Shuffle, is a 3km fun walk/jog/run along the Boorowa River Walk with participants encouraged to wear white and be ‘coloured’ along the way!
Registration is at 10am on Sunday, April 9 at the Boorowa Recreation Grounds.
The event is free and is a great way to meet new friends, get some fresh air and exercise and see the region.
There will be free transport for all residents in the Hilltops Region for anyone needing to travel to activities in the various communities.
Transport to all functions is available through Community Transport.
Bookings are essential.
Please contact Kelly Rolfe on (02) 6382 1518 to make arrangements.
