With a total of 21 players travelling, Boorowa brought some old and some exciting new players.
Again captain/coach Marty Corcoran lead the team out with Duncan McGrath assisting from the sideline.
With a kick-off time of 7.30pm and three 20 minutes thirds the Goldies got off to a sluggish start however with some nice lines and good breakdown work the Goldies started to build some phases.
Oddly enough and to everyone’s surprise Will McGuinness showed some serious pace in the back line on one occasion!!
Along with the new recruit Phil Maine who is shaping up to be the signing of the year with a great step and pace.
Coota eventually ran away winner scoring five tries to three.
Despite the loss its shaping up to be a good year with new recruits and some old heads returning.
Training this year will be every Monday and Wednesday at The Boorowa Showgrounds at 6.30pm.
If you are keen for a game of footy this year or just want to have a run at training come along.
