On your marks, get set, go: Boorowa Central School students dive right in at their swimming carnival.

On Wednesday, February 8, Boorowa Central School held its annual twilight swimming carnival.

The weather was wonderful and all people who attended had a fantastic time.

Students enjoyed competing in their events and participating in the novelty events.

All students demonstrated respectful behaviour throughout the duration of the carnival.

The success of the carnival was due to many people.

An enormous thank you is extended to the volunteers, the student helpers and staff.

Once again it was great to have parents come and support the students.

We are forever thankful to the SRC and the P & C for their continuous time and support including running the BBQ and catering fruit and beverages during the day.

We are greatly appreciative to the council for the use of the new and improved swimming facilities.

Finally a we would like to acknowledge and thank the Boorowa Swimming club, who supported our carnival by providing use of their equipment and also for helping to set up for the carnival during the morning.

We will be presenting the medals for age champions and runners up and the ribbons for place getters at the upcoming assemblies.

High school will have their presentation at the sports assembly on Wednesday February 15 at 2pm.

The date for the first primary assembly will be confirmed at a later date.

All parents and community members are welcome to attend.

A full report of our swimming results will be published after our official presentation.
