Recognition of the sporting talent which ranges from our more mature sports stars to our juniors will take place in a fortnight when many of us gather in the park to acknowledge Australia Day and recognize those in our community who have done wonderful things or achieved well in their chosen sporting fields.
It is hoped a huge community turnout is on hand to congratulate our champions.
Following is the list of those nominated in their respective classification with nominators in brackets:
SENIOR SPORTSPERSON OF THE YEAR

Each of the nominees will receive a certificate on Australia Day acknowledging this achievement, but of course there can only be one winner with that announcement and presentation being made on Australia Day.
All sporting bodies and individuals are urged to get right behind these awards in order to make them more significant than they are today.
