The Gators secured a comfortable five-wicket win over Binalong at Binalong whilst the Crocs had a less convincing three-wicket win over the Yass Golf Club Taipans at the recreation ground.
The Crocs were coming off a fortnight’s break but their bowlers were on song as they skittled the Taipans for just 59.
Boorowa got the key wicket of opener Adrian Waters with the score on 12 and after that it was a steady procession of wickets until they were all out in the 28th over.
Nick Dwyer was the most impressive bowler taking 5/16 whilst other wicket-takers included Blake Toman with three whilst Chris Dwyer and Byron Campbell with one each.
In reply the Crocs started steadily reaching ten before Bruce Grey was caught behind with the score on 10.
They progressed with caution until the dismissals of Blake Anderson and Phil Coggins left them on 3/35.
The Crocs slipped further into trouble at 7/49 before Nick Dwyer and Josh Grey stopped the collapse and guided the side home in the 22nd over with three wickets left.
The only two batsmen to reach double figures was Phil Coggins 11 and Josh Grey 10 but the rest did enough to secure the much needed competition points.
At Binalong, the Gators also bowled well as they restricted the Binalong batting line up to just 121.
Murray Amour, Chris McIntosh and Brad Rose all note useful wicket taking spells and were well supported in the field.
In reply Boorowa never really looked in trouble despite a threatening pace attack.
Anthony McMahon paved the way with a good half century whilst Brad Rose, in his first game this season, made 33.
They reached the target with five wickets to spare and plenty of overs in hand.
A draw after Xmas has not yet been released but play will definitely resume on Saturday, January 14.
Boorowa cricket training will resume early in the New Year.
