The Gators headed to Binalong to take on the Yass Golf Club Taipans and after winning the toss elected to bat.
After losing an early wicket, Anthony McMahon and Mark Poplin put on a half century stand to take the score to 2/67.
Despite losing two more quick wickets, the Gators were well poised at 4/96 after 20 overs to score in excess of 200.
However after drinks, the wheels fell off and they added just another 47 for the last six wickets to be all out for 146 in the 33rd over.
Top scorer for Boorowa was Anthony McMahon with 53 whilst Chris McIntosh made a very useful 31.
Defending a reasonable target, Boorowa struggled to rip through the Taipans batting and at 2/88 with eleven overs to go, Yass seemed to be in control.
However with the pressure building, the wickets began to tumble with the Taipans slipping to a precarious 8/129 still requiring 18 for victory.
Their tail wagged enough to get them home in the final over in an absolute heart stopper.
The most successful of the bowlers was Mark Poplin with 3/37 whilst Shane Cross 2/24, Mick Canellis 2-23 and Anthony McMahon 1/23.
It was the second consecutive close loss for the Gators and a match that they should have won.
Meanwhile the Crocs made the trip to Harden to take on the Hornets on the turf.
They lost the toss and were asked to field which turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
Whilst the pitch looked to be tame, it was anything but, with many gremlins that soon haunted the Harden batting line up.
Harden managed just 3/30 in the first twenty overs as the ball at times was like a spitting cobra off the wicket.
Boorowa did bowl well and certainly exploited the conditions.
The Harden innings never gained momentum eventually being all out after 33 overs for the small target of 60.
Best of the Boorowa bowlers was Blake Toman who bowled with great accuracy to take 5/15.
He was well supported by Byron Campbell 2/7, Alex Blomfield 1/10, Josh Grey 1/6 and Russell George 1/7.
The fielding was again impressive which maintained good pressure on the struggling batsmen.
In reply, 61 to win seemed like a very easy target, but the land mined strip was just as tough going for the Boorowa batsmen.
Openers James Green and Phil Coggins crawled there way to 30 in the eighteen over before Greeny got cleaned up by a ball that pitched and ran along the ground.
Boorowa lost two more quick wickets to be 3/41 and whilst they only needed 20, it felt more like 200.
However Bruce Grey and Alex Blomfield played sensibly to see the Crocs home in the 27th over.
Top Scorers for Boorowa were Phil Coggins 19, Bruce Grey 19 and James Green 10.
This week sees the Gators return home for an important game against the Yass Golf Club Colts.
They will be keen to get a win after suffering a couple of close losses in recent week.
The crocs get the bye before they play their final two games leading into the Christmas break.
Be at Bay 13 this Saturday to cheer on the Gators and then back to the Courthouse on Saturday night for another great evening including the Joker Draw which remained in tact after last Saturday and is now worth $1250.
See you at the cricket.
