Our relay members were Josh, Seth, Rory and Clare.
The Carnival had a variety of events including the Parra Athletics and many other running races.
When it was time to run they marshalled us and took us to the tunnel to get ready to run.
There were three heats in our race.
When we raced we held a solid 3rd till the finish line.
We made it to the semi-finals again.
We were holding 3rd position and gaining until unfortunately there was a major mishap at the second baton change and we were unable to finish the race.
We all exited the track while hoping Rory was ok.
Then we headed home while Rory headed to Canberra hospital.
When we got home we found Rory’s dream of breaking a bone had come true.
The day before our race, the Premier Mr Baird had promised us he would bring a famous athlete to our school if we won (which we tried very hard to do!)
Overall, we had lots of fun and Rory’s wrist is healing.
