The canteen received kitchen equipment vouchers to the value of $500 .
The menu support was offered to schools to help them meet the standards for the NSW Fresh Tastes @ School Strategy and the Nutrition in Schools Policy.
Selected schools provide their menu to MLHD who reviewed all items and provided feedback with tips.
“It has given us quite a few easy and cost efficient ideas on how to meet the standards,” Canteen manager, Sam Pye said.
“It is not easy for a busy Canteen Manager to find time to thoroughly assess each item on their menu. Offering a review by people who are using all assessment tools is a great way to take the pressure off,” Ms Barb Manwaring said.
