Unfortunately last week’s footy suffered at the hands of the weather gods.
The game between Boorowa and Braidwood being postponed due to the state of the ground.
Whilst a game would have been good, it has given the local side a chance to refresh.
The teams will prime themselves for the last two games of the season.
Up coming matches
This weekend sees the Boorowa Rovers appear on home soil for the last time in 2016 when they take on ADFA.
Whilst the match has no bearing on the semi-finals, it is a massive game for both teams.
It will be the decider for the wooden spoon.
Both teams have shown improvement as the year has gone on.
In the one encounter they have played this season, nothing separated the two teams in a 12-12 draw.
The Rovers will start slight favourites purely on home ground advantage.
No doubt ADFA will see this as a big chance to break their duck.
Good weather should help the Boorowa lads who have looked better in attack in recent games.
Kick off will be at 2.30pm at the Showground on Saturday, so come and show support.
This week’s other matches sees a couple of big encounters.
The top of the table clash between Harden and Bungendore could be a grand final preview.
Harden should just get the points at home but an upset would not surprise.
North Canberra should account for the Boomanulla Raiders.
The other big clash is between the Gunning Roos and Crookwell Green Devils.
This game could well decide a semi-final spot.
A loss to Gunning will end their season.
A win will put them within striking distance of a finals berth.
Braidwood have the bye.
News and events
Don't forget the Rovers big presentation night.
This will be held on on Saturday, September 10 at the Ex-Services Club.
Join the team this Saturday evening.
They will celebrating their last home appearance for 2016 at the home of the Rovers, the Courthouse Hotel.
Last home game.
