The Boorowa News’ “Raw @ 90 degrees owned by Rosie Smith and Whitney Reid”, advertisement is up against advertisements produced by the Sunshine Coast Daily, Wanganui Chronicle in New Zealand and The Chronicle in Toowomba.
Boorowa News sales representative Louise Heckenberg who put the advertisement together for Raw@90 degrees said she was excited to see the Boorowa News as a finalist and that it was a great honour to be nominated.
“It also is a great representation of our Fairfax Media mastheads in our region, with Cowra Guardian and Parkes Champion Post also announced as finalist,” she said.
“It’s an honour and a pleasure to be able to look after all the advertising needs of local businesses in Boorowa and the surrounds.
“We are able to do print, digital and online advertising and marketing.”
Cowra Group sales manager Trish Foxall said her team was honoured to be among the titles being celebrated for in-house creativity and excellence.
"We're extremely proud of the multimedia advertising solutions we're delivering to our clients and community," Ms Foxall said.
Being named a finalist shows that a small team like the Boorowa News can compete with the high standard of advertising produced by newspapers for their clients throughout the Asia Pacific Region.
The Boorowa News is one of five newspapers in the region to be named as a finalist in the awards.
The other local finalists are the Cowra Guardian in two categories, the Forbes Advocate for a digital advertisement and the Parkes Champion Post for a series of advertisements put together for the Parkes Caravan Park.
Award winners will be announced on Thursday September 1 at a cocktail event, hosted by James Mathison at The Art Gallery NSW.
The awards cover best advertising design, campaign creation and management, and leadership in advertising sales and marketing with the finalists selected from more than 500 entries across the AsiaPacific region.
