This year to date we have spent over $5000 to update the equipment in the Physiotherapy Department.
A Recumbent Bike and a Pedal Exerciser have been purchased.
They are useful for knee injuries and the Pedal Exerciser is much easier to use, rather than the old style exercise bike.
A shoulder joint, knee joint and vertebral column are now in use for demonstrations to the patients to explain the mechanism of their injuries and their subsequent treatment.
The EMG Stimulator has two benefits.
It can stimulate muscles but also gives feedback on how much strength the muscle has.
The new Forearm Walker is a sturdy version walker with brakes and is very useful for the larger patient.
Felicity Corcoran and Felicity McGrath both provide excellent physiotherapy services at the Boorowa Hospital.
If you require treatment just contact the hospital.
We have also purchased two Regency Chairs, which are now in use and greatly appreciated by the patients.
These chairs come with footrests and tables and were $2,400 each.
Our next fundraising function is our usual Mothers Day Stall which is on Friday, May 6 at Bertie McMahon's Barber shop, a great chance to purchase a gift for Mum and help the Hospital at the same time!
