The school, which provides a free, high quality education to more than 1,900 children in Arusha, was established by former Aussie teacher Gemma Sisia and continues to be primarily funded by Australians from across the country.
Gemma accepted the donation at a luncheon and fashion parade organised by the Inner Wheel Rotary Club in Blayney in March.
Cathy Walsh, whose daughter Elizabeth is working at the school for the next two years in accounts, says they will be visiting Elizabeth in July.
"She's really enjoying it," Mrs Walsh said.
"She's getting to see a little around, she's gone on a few short safaris."
Fellow Boorowa residents Sina and Al Banks have also spent time at the school.
Each year, the school recruits 150 new students who will receive the gift of education and a real chance to break out of the cycle of generational poverty.
The school is celebrating last year's inaugural secondary graduates, most of whom are currently completing a voluntary year teaching in severely under-resourced government schools.
